The MLBTB Soccer Club Recreation Program objectives are simple: Build Skills and have FUN.
The Recreation Program is offered to youth from 4-10 years old. Participants must be 4 by January 1st of the current year to participate - no exceptions.
Sessions:
- 6 weeks. In the Fall, the season runs from mid-September until the end of October; no sessions over Columbus Day Weekend. In the Spring, the season runs from mid-April until mid-May.
- Saturdays only
- 60 minutes (30 minutes training, 30 minutes scrimmage)
- The schedule will be available close to the season's start. Sessions start at 8:30am with the last session ending at 2pm.
Group Formation:
- Maximum of 10 players per group
- Players must remain with their group for the season. There will be no player movement once groups are set
- It is expected that each group will have the same trainer for the duration of the season
Parents/Spectators:
- One caregiver must remain with the player for the whole session. This is not a ‘drop-off’ program
- If a player does not want to participate in any portion of a session, the player must leave the field
Equipment Requirements:
Each player will be provided with a team shirt, shorts and socks. Players must bring their own ball and water bottle and wear shin guards underneath their socks. Sneakers are permitted; soccer cleats are preferred (no metal). No jewelry, including earrings. Ball sizes vary by age group: players in U9 & U10, U11 will need a size #4 ball, all other groups will need a size #3 ball.
Team Personnel: All recreation teams are trained and coached by our training partner, PESA.
Registration Fee: $200. Any family experiencing a financial hardship can apply for a scholarship by emailing [email protected] and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
